Now in its 15th year, ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA has established itself as the leading international exhibition for fresh fruit and vegetable marketing in Asia. We are seeking a high caliber candidate to join our international team as “MARKET MANAGER: CHINA” working based in Shanghai with the following qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Chinese nationality with 5-8 years working experience, preferably in business development function. Industry knowledge in China within the fresh produce sector is essential. Professional experience in large event or exhibition industry is a plus.
- Excellent command / highly proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Sales presentation skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other office tools.
- Detail oriented, well organized, energetic, enthusiastic.
- Quick learner, hardworking, positive attitude, service minded, intercultural competence.
- Able to work under pressure, high level of self-motivation, enjoy teamwork.
- Able to travel overseas independently from time to time.
Job description:
Acquisition of exhibitors, buyers, and visitors in China
- Establish and carry out the annual canvassing strategy in China.
- Develop the agent network to ensure optimum coverage of the customer base in Chinese sales territories on exhibitor, buyer and visitor side.
- Stewardship of China sales agents to define effective and timely canvassing budgets, monitor activities, report on leads and sales, identify opportunities in sales territories.
- Establish and carry out Chinese buyer recruitment plan.
- Establish partnership with Chinese leading buyer companies and key players in the market.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant organizations, such as governmental departments, associations, sales agents.
- Creative thinking to spot new opportunities and to establish rapid growth within the Chinese market.
- Market research including market analysis and -monitoring of the fresh produce industry and AFL competitor activities.
- Coordinate internal processes that lead to high motivation and best results.
- Coordinate China located special events like roadshows, industry meetups and conference for the China market.
Operations and others
- Support operational work i.e., answer questions of exhibitors and visitors related to the Exhibitor Management System (EMS), ticket shop etc.
- Identify new target groups and develop / update customer and partner database.
- China related event management and follow-up.
- Perform on-site duties and ad hoc tasks assigned by the company.

职责描述:
- 制定并实施中国市场年度计划,包括展位销售、采购商招募及观众组织计划;
- 发展合作伙伴网络,以确保中国市场的参展商、采购商、观众群体得到最佳覆盖;
- 管理中国区销售合作方,实时把控销售进度,报告潜在客户和销售情况,拓展销售机会;
- 与中国市场的重点企业及合作机构建立并保持良好的合作关系;
- 善用创造性思维,发现新机遇,以实现中国市场的快速增长;
- 关注中国生鲜果蔬产业的市场研究分析和行业发展方向;
- 协调在国内举办的各类活动,如项目路演、行业聚会和中国市场会议;
- 提供运营支持,包括回答客户关于参展商管理系统(EMS)、参会注册等问题;
- 维护管理现有客商的数据库,并积极开发拓展新客户资源;
- 与项目内部跨地域团队紧密合作,积极沟通,以达到最佳工作效率;
- 其他与中国市场相关事宜的跟进以及公司安排的其他合理/相关任务。
